Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
·         Continuously provide support, guidance and co-ordination to ensure accurate and professional HR Services
·         Conduct exit interviews with all employees on resignation from the company, analyse trends
·         Ensure high level and high standard of customer service and guidance in line with HR Policies and Procedures
·         Handle labour relations queries and processes
·         Ensure the organisation's grievance and disciplinary procedures are observed and that all relevant documentation is completed
·         Monitor management/staff relations and mediate where necessary and advise management on labour relations issues
·         Draft and manage secondment agreements regarding employee mobility - visas, relocation etc
·         Facilitation and implementation of Employment Equity       
·         Establish and maintain a recruitment and selection process that is bench marked against Best Practice             
·         Manage employee database      
·         Develop competency and Training development plans per person      
·         Manage all Learning and Development initiatives to ensure effective tracking and monitoring thereof          
·         Implementation of various companywide HR projects / initiatives      
·         HR process streamlining and improvement               
·         Identify and report on HR related matters to ensure risk areas are identify and resolved      
·         Advise and support Management and employees with various HR -related  matters

What will I be doing?

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you are responsible for providing first-class HR services to the hotel to deliver an excellent staff experience. A Human Resources Manager would also be required to manage succession planning and assist the HR Director with strategy. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:


Job Requirements

Requirements
Sound understanding of HR Legislation
1 year Experience in dealing with Unions (Advantageous)
3 - 5 years HR Generalist experience
Computer Literacy
Sound knowledge of HR Practices
Knowledge of labour legislation (i.e. Basic Conditions of Employment, Labour relations, Skills Development Act, South African Qualifications Authority) Conflict/Relationship Management skills
