Job Description
Purpose of the Role
First Quantum Minerals is currently seeking an experienced ERP Systems Analyst for a recently opened position within the group. He/She will join the existing ERP Team based in Ndola, Zambia to support the team and all users within the local site and globally as required.
Reporting into the Group ERP Manager, the ERP Systems Analyst will be predominantly responsible for implementing & managing allocated projects, including training, & process improvements. First Quantum Minerals, use an intuitive, robust and friendly real-time integrated ERP Package, PRONTO-Xi.
Key areas of Responsibility
- Implement and manage allocated projects with a particular focus on Sentinel, one of the Group's flagship projects.
- Drive forward process improvements at the site in regards to all areas of operations.
- Project administration & documentation, including the development of process flows.
- Ensure that key stakeholders are informed on progress providing regular updates, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) assuring measurement of the progress to objectives.
- Remote assistance and/or travel to sites for assigned tasks.
Job Requirements
Required Technical Skills, Training & Experience- ERP application experience, including system development and support experience.
- Minimum 5 years business experience in the mining or heavy industry, with cross business knowledge.
- Good knowledge of accounting fundamentals within a business is essential, including strong understanding of process flows.
- Good experience with operational/engineering modules of ERP, such as maintenance and/or financial modules.
- Strong time and project management skills with experience of documenting user needs.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with proven ability to work with senior management and staff.
- Ability to operate independently with efficiency and accuracy, to meet deadlines and set a standard for all users of the Pronto system.
