Job Description

PATH seeks to recruit a Driver.  The Driver will be responsible for providing administrative support to the project including transportation, vehicle maintenance, and others as assigned. s/he will drive project staff to various locations in the course of project implementation. 

Specific duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to the following:

1. Drive staff, visitors and other project stakeholders for official duty as required.
2. Facilitate the transfer of visitors to/ from hotels to office.
3. Maintain office vehicle in clean and serviceable condition. Manage vehicle fuel cards and maintain proper logs of trips made.
4. Assist in paying office bills, run office errands, collect and deliver packages and mails from the post office.
5. Support the project team to source for quotations, make follow-up for the same and purchase office supplies.
6. Assist in preparation of workshop and training materials as requested. Assists in paying for training venue and participants during project workshops and trainings.
7. As requested, assist project staff in recording training/workshop events through photography, documentation and maintenance of databases where they are accessible to all.

Job Requirements

Required Skills

• Minimum O level qualification, aggregate of D+
• Driving course. Intensive driving training from NYS or otherprovider is an added advantage
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record; ability to drive vehicle classes BCE
• A certificate of good conduct from the police is a must. A person of proven Integrity.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a pleasant, accommodating approach.
• Strong organizational skills.

Required Experience

• A minimum of four years of driving experience
• Knowledge of Kenyan highways and terrain. Must be conversant with all traffic regulations and the highway code
• Must have a through knowledge of Nairobi City and its environs. 
• Must have basic working knowledge / skills in mechanics and vehicle maintenance - Ability to do simple general maintenance as required on the vehicle
• S/he must be ready to make long distance trips
