Job Description

 Overall Responsibility:

UI Engineers within Rancard are responsible for creating and designing web applications and user interfaces for Rancard's Web and mobile applications. As a web developer you are expected to create beautiful functional user experiences for internal and external clients. This typically involves configuring and setting up and integrating specific applications for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

-Design Web interfaces and mobile applications

-Configure and integrate web applications

-Work on company related brand collateral including website and publications

-Develop user interfaces for next generation products

-Work with marketing to define standards for internal and external visual communication

-Develop clean HTML/ CSS / Ajax based code

-Develop 3rd party portals and web applications

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

-BA/BS or similar qualification in Graphic Design, Information Design, or other visual arts; or CS degree; or relevant knowledge and experience in Graphic Design, Information Design, or other visual arts; strong technical background a plus

-Fluent in HTML and CSS and solid knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and or Fireworks

-Good understanding of JSP, PHP or Python

-Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.

-Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.

-Must be an effective problem solver.

-Solid academic background in human-computer interaction or related field a big plus

-Demonstrated experience in designing usable web-based interfaces.

-Excellent knowledge of JavaScript for rapid prototyping purposes.

-Strong, clean visual design sense.

-Excellent leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

-Authorized to work in Ghana
